FIFA Has Banned Coach of Cofine FC, Making it Second Nigerian Banned

Remi Amadi, the coach of Cofine FC, Uyo Akwa Ibom State, has been issued an international ban of two years from all football activities by FIFA, the world football governing body, to manipulate the result.

The Nigerian football federation received the message from the body’s Disciplinary Committee, and it is a repercussion for a similar ban imposed on the gaffer by NFF’s Disciplinary Committee.

The NFF integrity Unit conveyed the decision of the NFF Disciplinary Committee using a letter dated 25th August 2021asking the Committee for a global effect of the sanction in accord with Article 66, FIFA Disciplinary Code.

The Federation International Football Association {FIFA] slammed the Nigerian coach a two years exclusion from all football activities after pleading guilty to an attempt to manipulate the match between Cofine FC and Bussdor FC during the 2020/2021 NLO season at the University of Calabar Stadium.

In a statement made on Tuesday, Ademola Olajire, the Director of Communication at the Nigeria Football Federation, brought this to the notice of the public.

The FIFA Disciplinary Committee actuated the global effect at a meeting held on 5th October 2021.
